Originally a 1963 Corvette Sting Ray, this was the
first Fuel Injected 1963 roadster registered in the state of Massachusetts. The
body modifications were designed by Ken Hablow and all the fiberglass bodywork
was done by Ed Vaneski at Porter Chevrolet in Cambridge, MA. All
mechanical work, engine and chassis, was done by Ken Duclos at Kay Dee
Automotive in Westford, MA. In it's last configuration, the engine
turned over 550 horse power on the dynamometer. The top speed ever reached was
180 mph at Watkins Glen in New York State. |

This
photo shows the clean front end and the addition of later model rear fender
flares. This also shows the 'turtle neck" built around the air cleaners on the
dual air meter fuel injection. |

Here
you can see the reverse flared rear deck and the addition of Camaro tail
lights. |

The
365 cubic inch engine was fed by a custom built Dual Air Meter fuel injection
system, which was a modification to the original Chevrolet system. By placing
one air meter on top of each set of four venturi tubes inside the plenum
chamber, a ram effect was created that added 50 horsepower. |
